Our baby is only 18 months. We're still trying to figure out her true personality. She's happy and playful, but can be reserved and cautious. I have a strong feeling, however, that she'll grow up to be a 'take no nonsense' type of girl. Maybe it has to do with being the youngest and the fact that she'll have to fight for her seat at the table, but she's proving to be strong-willed and determined.
The other night, while grabbing something out of the kitchen drawer, I noticed crayon markings. Because the drawer is about 30 inches high, it was easy to identify the culprit. I knew I had to confront her. Neither of my 2 older daughters colored on the walls or furniture so my first thought was 'here comes trouble.' I called Mac over and the exchange was nothing short of hilarious. I engaged and played along. It took all I had to keep my composure because I couldn't get over how feisty she was. At one point, to distract me, she starts to admire my nails and I fall for it. She laughs at me and doesn't take me seriously at all. She argues a little and eventually decides that she's going to talk to daddy because I'm not giving in. To think, at such a young age she's already plotting how to get over on mom. Raising this little lady is going to be a very interesting.
